| This cottage was water damaged in fall of '05. The original scope of
work was to replace roof and then strip vertical interior pine paneling
and flooring, dry, disinfect, & replace. After tear out was
complete, it was obvious that the wiring had been compromised, much of
the exterior sheathing was rotten, and some structural damage was
evident. The asbestos shingles needed to be removed to get to
sheathing and the windows were one area of water penetration that needed
attention. Final project included new roof with high wind
resistance, new wiring, new windows, new wood paneling (keeping old
look), structural repairs, removal of old masonry fireplace & chase, new
siding, new insulation, new flooring, partially new bathrooms, and a new
kitchen. |
